Setting 2026 Up for Success

Big changes have come to Owl Medicine Design and this newsletter! The first is that my commercial art practice is on sabbatical in 2026 because I am working on producing my dream art show, which is the biggest thing I've ever done. The majority of my time will be spent on it. More about it in the next section. 😉

In addition, my creative practice has grown. I am once again writing fiction, and I'm offering coaching and consulting services to creatives and entrepreneurs (you may have noticed the new banner for the newsletter). So while my brand, OMD, isn't going anywhere for now, I'm moving all my efforts under the banner of Toni Creates | Writes | Teaches. And, that's how this newsletter will be structured going forward: every issue will cover what I'm creating, what I'm writing (if there's anything to share), and what I'm teaching.

If These Walls Could Talk

If you've spent any time with me, you know I am a massive proponent of surface design deserving a place in galleries. I've spent the last few years designing a large installation show centered on wallpaper as a narrative mechanism for trauma and healing.

To my great joy, I recently signed contracts with two galleries to host the installation. The first goes up in August of 2026, the second in January of 2027. These are large 4ft x 8ft installations, and there will be ten of them! I am so over the moon, I get goosebumps when I think of it.

Last month, I had the honor of presenting the show to the Wichita arts patron community at an event called ICT Soup that crowdfunds local art projects.

We're Unstoppable

I'm proud to share that Unstoppable: A guide to reclaiming power and creating your own path is officially released and out in the wild. I had the pleasure of joining my good friend and co-creator, Jill Miller, for a signing at a local shop here in the ICT that's stocking it, and we sold out! Grab your copy today!

Now Available on Kindle Unlimited

Psycho Bitch: A Love Story is now available on Kindle Unlimited, which means you can read for free if you are a member.

Charlotte Wolfe has always believed the world revolves around her — and she’s been happy to keep it that way.
Life has gone exactly to plan: the right boyfriend, the right friends, the right image. But when her carefully constructed universe crumbles — boyfriend gone, bank account empty, pride in tatters — Charlotte is forced to face a terrifying truth: maybe she’s not as perfect as she pretends to be.
With only an adoring dog and a few unexpected strangers by her side, Charlotte stumbles into a journey she never meant to take — one where love looks nothing like the glossy fantasy she’s been chasing.
Can a woman who’s built her life on smoke and mirrors learn what it really means to love and be loved? Or will Charlotte’s next big reinvention be her last?
A witty, heartfelt novel about falling flat on your face — and finally finding your feet. Perfect for fans of Sophie Kinsella and every woman who’s ever had to start over.

Delivering the Goods

I thought I had everything mapped out—until my students left my workshop more confused than inspired. In this month's article, I’m sharing what I missed (and how you can avoid it).

PODCAST

We're back!!!!!

And, we've got merch, a Cranky Club, and a whole new season! We're kicking off 2026 by getting real about royalties. If you’ve ever wondered why your check is smaller than your lunch bill, this episode breaks down how royalty income actually works and why it’s just one part of a sustainable creative business.

We're also dismantling the perfection trap with the incomparable Cat Coquillette. If you’ve been waiting to feel “ready,” this episode is your gentle shove to stop polishing and start doing.

If you haven't tuned in to Two Cranky Creatives yet, I hope you'll connect with us and listen wherever you get your podcasts!

Join the Cranky Club

You can now join The Cranky Club on Apple Podcasts, where you get every episode a week early, can listen ad-free, and have access to the archive of episodes forever. Carrie and I decided that, in an era of rising prices, we are going in the opposite direction, so you can join the club for a mere $3.99 a month. You can also try it out for free for one month. We hope to see you there.

Strut Your Cranky Stuff

We have merch!!!!! Let the world know you're not just creative, you're cranky too! We recently launched a line of merch on Bonfire. Grab yours today!
